Don't bank with US Bank! I'm very disappointed with the service of US Bank, it's always an hour or more on the phone for their mortgage department only to get contradicting answers each time. They assign a "mortgage assistant" to each customer; however, don't ever expect to talk to your "assistant." The branch offices are just as awful, especially at the location closest to where I work and live. You can't get any help over the phone because they never answer the phone. Then when you go in, they are rude and act like you are putting them out. It's a sad situation. I went in today and the associate could not see transactions past two weeks on my checking account. What? He said he would have to get his manager. I said ok but he said he would have her call me. It's now been six hours and I still haven't heard and highly suspect I will not hear from her. Ready to switch all my accounts and my family's accounts. Ugh! I've had accounts with them for more than 20 years, now they are charging me a monthly maintenance fee for doing LESS than ever. I've had more complications from Bank associates who don't know what they are doing! It's been hours and hours and hours of trying to get things straightened out. Don't trust US Bank.

Don't bank with US Bank! I'm very disappointed with the service of US Bank, it's always an hour or more on the phone for their mortgage department only to get contradicting answers each time. This afternoon I came into office to change my bank account type. Waited for the bank associate to finish with a customer at her desk. I thought the clerk at the window couldn’t help with this. After she finished with that person I asked kindly if I could be next. She nicely waved me back and said someone would help me soon. After completing some phone calls she left her desk to speak with a clerk at the front desk. When returning to her desk she went to the next couple in line who had just came in and asked them how she could help them, ignoring me. I asked her if I needed to come back at a different time. Again she said someone would help me shortly. At that point I realized she was not a person I could trust to help me. Walking back to my vehicle I also realized the couple she helped matched her race. Hopefully this wasn’t the reason she ignored me and hopefully she won’t get promoted as a result of this incident.

Was told by drive up window worker on 04/21/2023 @9:06am if a check doesn't scan there is no other way to accept it, and that a new check would need to be provided ( this was for a business so that would have been a very difficult thing to accomplish, she was very rude, basically said take your business elsewhere. Hope my company takes there business back to central bank of Eldon as we never had a problem with them.

OMGosh!!!
Totally un organized! They had months to prepare for a loan that my husband and i were co-signing on. Proir to the official signing the borrowers were told they could go to a branch to sign some other document but when the arrived the bank said they were to busy and sent the to the other branch. The day of signing all four if us sign and leave. After being a mile away we get a call to come back because Nicole forgot to have us sign something. She apologized and although I said no worries I was a bit disappointed because the roads were bad from freezing cold and snow and it was inconvenient to go back but i was not to mad. Now its been ONE Month later and US Bank/ Nicole called and said the way the papers were done said my husband was married to the borrowers husband and I was married yo the borrowers wife therefore we all need to come bavk in an re-sign!! I'm getting ready to leave on a trip along with other very important things going on over tge next week and now we have to figure out a time to go do this all over again! I asked to do it electronically this time but Nicole says it can not be done electronically, SERIOUSLY!! People sign legal documents electronically all over the world on a dsily basis but US Bank can't! OMG! HOW MAMY MISTAKES can they make! How many times do we all hzve to go back because they messed up. At this point they should be so apologetic that they shoukd comme to my house with a notary and the new papers!! REALY US BANK!!!

I went to this location to have a document notarized. I called several days before to see if both parties had to be account holders and was told one was ok. Today I arrived and was informed both parties had to be USBANK customers. I left and went to the Bonner Springs location which provided outstanding customer service with no questions asked. Kramer peters...Mortgage loan specialist replied to my inquiry on 11-15-22. Literally badgering me with phone messages. After Appling for a mortgage pre-approval, and qualifying, he never sent any letter or email stating such. Verbally he confirmed. Meanwhile I found my dream home, and had to email this guy wondering what the lack of any communication was! Wheres my preapproval letter?.meanwhile I purchased a home...US bank mortgage
association embarrassed me with my realtor...left me high and dry ..and IMHO is the WORST. FYI,FACT, 3 emails and one call to Kramer peters since has gone unanswered.
Avoid US Bank mortgage association apply with a professional, caring, and local bank.

I have approximately $60,000 in my savings account at US Bank. I had the understanding that I was signed up for overdraft protection on my checking account to automatically pull from my savings account. As it turns out, I did have the overdraft protection, but they charged me $36 every time I went negative. Over a 2 week period, I was charged $684 in fees alone. I was not notified at the time that I was overdrafting. Long story short, they would only refund me $216 of the $684 in fees. This happened at the US Bank at 749 Main Street, Pleasanton, California. The bank manager is Anthony Jones. He was NOT helpful at all. Let’s just say that I am in the process of closing all my accounts with US Bank (a total of $200,000 in savings accounts!) and moving to Union Bank.

Incredibly rude treatment at drive up window. I arrived at 4:15 and was told they closed at four. Needed a wire transfer. Called and was told I needed to be there by 1 o’clock. Arrived far earlier and was told their “person” didn’t have time to do one today and I needed to schedule an appointment the following week. After 52 years with the bank I have seen it go from great customer service and genuine care for their customers to this. Have been in this branch 4-5 times and it is always the same. Rude people at this branch who don’t seem to be able to smile, having stood in line for almost 15 minutes with incredibly slow service . And since a wire transfer doesn’t take but maybe 10 minutes max I don’t understand why one has to schedule an appointment when employees sit around at their desks talking on phones, and tellers get no backup at the lunch hour. I guess we are being groomed for AI banking. As for me and my 7 children business and grandchildren accounts we will find a credit union that still cares about people!

I hear you. same thing happened to me. I'm about sick and tired of these banks closing at what ever time they feel like closing. I was there at 3:15 on Friday last week and the drive through was CLOSED??? WHAT? I thought they closed at 4:00pm...WTF. Why can't these other branches open to accommodate the people???? It's pretty sad that you have to jump through hoops to make a deposit or try and get YOUR MONEY OUT? I hope people are waking up on what they are trying to do! UNBELIEVABLE!!!

I opened a savings account for my daughter when she was a minor. It was separate but attached to my account. My daughter became estranged from our family in February of 2019 when she was 19. I noticed in July that the account was over drafted. I paid the outstanding balance on this account on July 30, 2019 and requested that the account would be closed. I was assured that it would be. A request to close was submitted by the branch but it was declined because there was an outstanding fraud alert on the account.
According to your branch manager my daughter was notified in writing that the closure was denied but I was not since she was now an adult. At the time of the closure request my daughter was no longer a minor. Additionally I was unaware of her whereabouts. I noticed online in November that the account was still active and overdrafted.
Upon learning that the account had not been closed and recognizing that my estranged, adult daughter had again over drafted the account, I visited the bank and again requested that the account be closed or at the very least frozen as I knew that my daughter had no means to repay. I was told that it would be researched as to why it had not been closed. During the time of the “research” the account was over drafted an additional $300.00. I was told that a request to close was submitted but it was denied because there was a pending fraud alert on the account. The manager confirmed that I was not alerted that the closure was denied but that my daughter had been.
From 6/14/19 when my daughter was legal age until 11/19/19, there have been 28 overdraft charges on this account.
Again after bringing the account current and being assured that the account would be closed, I was not notified that it had not. All overdraft charges were made by my daughter after she had reached legal age. To my knowledge, no attempt to recoup the overdraft charges from my daughter has been made and the funds were deducted from my account without prior notice. Additionally I never even received a response to a letter that I wrote to the bank manager on November 19, 2019. nor have I received a response to a letter written to the Risk Management department dated January 23, 2020.
US Bank has charged more than $1,000 in over draft fees to this account in a 6 month period. US bank did not close the account after telling me it would. US Bank did not notify me that the account was not closed. US Bank allowed the account to overdraft another $300 while it performed it's research. US Bank deducted $2,760.63 from my account to pay the overdraft charges on my adult daughters account January 2020 without permission or even notification. US Bank has not responded to two letters requesting these issues to be addressed.
The rating shows one star. That is way too high!

I opened a savings account for my daughter when she was a minor. It was separate but attached to my account. My daughter became estranged from our family in February of 2019 when she was 19. I noticed in July that the account was over drafted. I paid the outstanding balance on this account on July 30, 2019 and requested that the account would be closed. I was assured that it would be. A request to close was submitted by the branch but it was declined because there was an outstanding fraud alert on the account.
According to your branch manager my daughter was notified in writing that the closure was denied but I was not since she was now an adult. At the time of the closure request my daughter was no longer a minor. Additionally I was unaware of her whereabouts. I noticed online in November that the account was still active and overdrafted.

Then she attempted to collect KYC information and challenged me about my mother's income (not mandatory to open an account) when I told her that I the figure I gave her was correct, she insisted it wasn't and she would get in trouble when the direct deposit comes in...mind you, I was opening a CD, the does not allow direct deposit. Finally after an hour I gave up and went to Signature Bank down the block and was in and out in 15 minutes, staff there was very nice and competent.

I have a first and second mortgage with this bank and I have limited time on my lunch to make my payments. I waited 20 minutes at the drive thru to be waited on. ONE TELLER for lobby and drive thru during lunch hour. It wouldn't matter if I went inside because then you have to wait til the ONE TELLER is done with drive thru!!!! Your bank at this location needs 2 tellers at all times. When I arrived in the drive thru there were 3 cars already in line. I waited. No one moved. I looked in the window and the canisters were still in the holding station. No one was even working on them. Then I looked and there was one teller attending to the lobby customers. No one at the window. We continued to wait. When she was finished with them, then she came to the window. Apologized of course, but she shouldn't have to. It's lunch hour, people are taking their lunches and running errands. You are supposed to provide a service that makes life a little easier for your patrons. There should be 2 tellers at all times.

Met with Trisha Lewis, Branch Manager of the Cherry Creek location in Denver, in an attempt to sort out why I had been charged a monthly fee of $14.95 starting at the beginning of this year (11 months). This happened before with US Bank, and previously, I called and got it sorted out (they claim they didn't have a record of that). I reminded her that I opened the US Bank account nearly 10 years ago to do a mortgage loan with them, then recently took out a very large HELOC with them for a major addition on my home. I have consistently met the qualifications for a "free" savings/checkings account, but it seems when I got the HELOC, the account type changed, and when it was paid off, the account started incurring a fee. I call that a deceptive banking practice - I use your loan services, then suddenly start getting a fee on a checking account? Trisha said it was my responsibility to notice the fee, informed me she could only reimburse me for 3 months, and that going to a regional manager wouldn't make a difference, so I closed my accounts and took my money elsewhere. Sure, there are fees for banking services, but folks, don't pay a fee to keep your money in a bank.

I strongly encourage anyone who wants their hard earned paychecks to be deposited to steer clear of the Prestonsburg, Kentucky US Bank Branch location. For example, today, I went to deposit two checks and withhold roughly $100. When I got home, I got a notification saying my account is negative $400. So me being curious, I quickly check my account. I came to find out that the teller had deposited the entire check, reversed the deposit, and then finally deposited the correct amount. Now understand that I filled out the deposit slip very thoroughly and clearly. I signed both checks as I was supposed to and I did everything I was expected of. I've never had any problems out of the Pikeville, Kentucky branch, but it seems that no matter what I do there are always some form of issue with a deposit or a transaction to of from the Prestonsburg location. I don't normally condone giving bad reviews of banks and businesses in general because everyone makes mistakes eventually, but this minor mistake forced me into cancelling plans with my family that I made over two months ago. I don't expect someone to get fired over this matter, but I want to bring this issue to everyone's attention so that this won't happen to someone else in the future who need the money that day or the following day.
