Our family banked with this Bank over twenty years and this Bank is stretched for a better CEO. Heritage needs to take care of their communities obligations as a Bank. I am a fourth generation operator and walked out. We have three other institutions and get treated with the greatest of respect not counting Farm Credit Services whose services stand out way beyond any of Heritahe Bank loan programs offered to the family farmer. Put simply there are better places other than Heritage Group to do business such as Banking, insurance, trust services, real estate sales, farm management and retirement planning. I may have missed something. Why do Banks need their fingers in all these services? They should focus on Banking and do it right.

I've done business with this bank for over 10 years. For the last year or so the customer service has gotten so bad that I'm thinking seriously about transferring my accounts(I have a saving, and a loan with this bank)Today I used a ATM machine ( not Heritage...It was Home federal's Atm. anyway the machine shorted me $20.00 dollars, I showed this to the clerk at the court house where I was paying taxes. She informed me to contact Home federal, Home federal told me to contact my bank, which I did just to be told by a VERY SNOTY women, that a women from Hastings will have to take care of it, and that she wasn't at her desk, so she'll call me. In short I got blown off. This isn't the first time I have been in contact with RUDE tellers in that bank. I think Heritage Bank should be a little more choosey on who they hire, to deal with their clientele, I have had it with RUDE People in that bank, I have two other banks I do business with  no complaints about either of them. So If your looking for a friendly bank to do your business in Heritage Bank is NOT it.
