Last Sunday I finally closed my bank account. I had, had enough of this branch's poor quality of service. The staff who work there are unfriendly, unhelpful, clueless and have no respect for customers. I decided to shut my account down -- why should I trust and support TD Bank when they have poor representations at their branch on Ark Road! I have been banking with a credit union, I moved all my money into my account with them...I've been with them for over 2 years..and I am very happy!

HORRIBLE BRANCH. Deposited a check and waited 1 week, and still wasnt in my account. So i called and talk to some lady lauren. And she couldnt figure it out why. No traces whatsoever. Mind you, i do have the receipt of the deposit!!She called for back up and her supervisor had problems finding it. They were very condescending with there tone and tried to convince me that i didnt deposit the check. They also wanted me to come in to prove that i did. What a bunch of female morons

Beyond horrible customer service at this holly ravine branch!!!!!this branch manager apparently told the bank employee i was talking to that he would not reverse fees that were assessed to my account due to no fault of my own.she told me he said he will not take care of it.i then asked to speak to him and she said he just left.being the bank manager he personally should have talked to me and been sure he didnt have an irate customer before he left for the day.i am very disappointed and upset.i will find a new bank after banking with td since the beginning .i guess a 35 dollar fee that i shouldnt have been charged was worth the business of a loyal customer.very pathetic.
Not happy with this branch. Done with TD because of it.

I went to the Chinatown branch during my lunch hour to do a bank wire transfer to a friend. Filled out the paperwork, signed everything, was told that everything was fine. Got a call two hours later saying that there was something wrong and the transfer didn't go through. The staff couldn't help me with my bank transfer and even worse wasn't willing to try. They wouldn't tell me what was wrong with the numbers that I provided and insisted that I call their bank transfer desk until they figured out that the number was internal and I couldn't actually make the call. She was trying to get me off the phone as fast as possible. I am done with TD Bank.

I had Commerce bank for about 10 yrs, I NEVER had any problems with them. They were always very fair if there were any unauthorized charges put through to my account. They took care of everything in a very timely manner. I've had nothing but problems with TD Bank, and they do not have the same policies as Commerce did regarding unauthorized charges. I had a merchant accidentally put a payment through twice, and I was left with no money prior to going on vacation. I begged and pleaded with the branch to please reverse the charges and they would not, and it took them over a month to reverse the charges back through. It was a nightmare and I had to actually go in the branch several times to speak to someone. After this incident I closed my account. The only good thing about this bank is their hours, but the hours are not worth the aggravation if something goes wrong with your account.

but it's entirely possible the feds are in bed with them. Notorious for creating unwarranted fees (they'll take them off when you show proof but they're banking on a large percentage of customers not bothering) and postponing deposits until a fee can be manufactured, TD is quite possibly the worst bank since Bank of America. Commerce was an excellent bank and I was with them for a number of years. TD was a nightmare experience of the highest order. If you live in the vicinity of Haverford PA, you can go across the street to Sun Federal Credit Union for much better service and rates.

I recently closed my account with TD Bank-
due to predatory practices--many unwarranted overdrafts- where I only managed to get (after a fight) partial reimbursement. The manager, appears (fakely)_ sympathetic, but she is actually a bloated caricature of a predatory passive- aggressive "manager"- actually enjoys seeing people fearful and confused. I went to Dedham Savings and have had the relief of working now with a bank of integrity, with employees who seem really happy to help. They assured me that the last move TDBank did, charging an overdraft even though money had been transferred to cover the "pending" charge- was unethical and that a Dedham Savings bank would never do that. Indeed, I was informed a class-action suit is currently underway for this very practice.TdBank shifts the order of how purchases pend and even swoops in while paychecks are pending submission with overdraft fees. I lost almost 600 dollars in six months to false overdrafts - and as a teacher and single mom- this basically stolen amount was devastating. Avoid stress- avoid this horrible immoral bank and "monster manager"- a wolf in sheep's plus-sized apparel.

I am a long time Riverside bank customer(15 years) and in 3 short months I closed my account after TD bank took over Riverside.
Holding checks, fees for checking that were free with Riverside. Also, none of the old Riverside employees appear to still work there.
Stay far away, plus it is a Canadian Bank, so why should I support them? Bye Bye TD, and good riddance.

Ever since TD Bank took over for First Federal Savings and Loan my banking life has been a nightmare. Over 10 loans with the prior bank and not a late payment ever!!!! Now they have so many things screwed up I don't know what the heck I am suppose to pay and when. And the poor overworked loan offices try to help but even they can 't figure out what the heck is going on. If I were you I would stay far away.

This bank specializes in pushing its customers via fees into bankruptcy via the way it plays with the timing of deposits and withdrawals. Today's mail brought an interesting monthly statement that showed a deposit of $1000 from a better rated bank in the next town. Apparently without telling me, I was only authorized to spend $100 of that. Foolishly that evening I made a few small Christmas purchases on the internet and even though 12 hours must have passed, I had no idea that the $900 was being withheld. And the statement ends right there so I have to wait 3 weeks (or visit them) to find out just when they got around to posting that money.
Their fees are high. They seem to thrive on part time employees who have no banking experience and whom you can't count on to be there the next day. I just can't imagine anyone asking them for a mortgage because of the ever moving employees who for the most part don't really understand the rules of the game.
The lines are ridiculous and offensive when you see that there are other and because of suit jackets on them I assume higher ranking employees around but the "it's not my job" ethos comes to the fore. And perish the thought that they hire enough minimum wage empoyees to act as cashiers.
This is a Canadian bank that is wealthy and shrewd and thoughtful and decent are not what they have moved to the US to be. The are joining in the Barney Frank free for all and unfortunately taken a nice bank, Commerce, and turned it into one big automated, one way cash register.
If you are going to bank there, plan on putting $500 in there as a cushion and then make yourself forget it is there because it is as we call it in NJ, "protection money" that they profit on to spare you the chance of being hit by a fee.
Should this economy turn around I suspect that TD will find itself with fewer customers when they regain some of the clout they should have. Already in our local TD bank, there are more and more empty parking spaces.

Since taking over Riverside, it has become an appalling nightmare of screwed up mortgages, escrow accounts, statements, etc. Repeated attempts to seek even basic information is met with The Worst Customer Service in the World. I've had an account with TD bank for about 8 years now. In those 10 years, I’ve never had anything negative to say about TD Bank. The service has always been over the top on the phone and the branch. This is one of the main reasons why I choose them as my bank. Today for the first time i considered closing my TD checking’s account. It wasn't for the problem i encountered with the branch but rather the way it was handled by Daisi Rivera at 2 Wall Street location in NY. This customer representative was incredibly rude and VERY unprofessional. I will never go or tell anyone to go to this branch again.

I went into the bank to cash a Commerce check of Saint Louis that I received from Enterprise Car Rental. I went into the bank on 8/18/2010 between 1pm and 1:30pm because this location was close to my job. First counter elderly gentlemen. I asked if I could cash the check he looked at it and said this is not our check. I ask well didn't TD Bank take over Commerce, he said again the is not out check. I left. When I got home that evening I called a TD Bank near my home and asked them if they would cash a Commerce check the representative ask me for the account number on the check and said yes. I took it there and the check was chashed. Now that was great customer service. The person that didn't help me at your bank seemed like he didn't want to be there no smile, no how are you today. Not even a sorry I couldn't help you. I have been in Custimer Service for nearly 30 years, i know how a customer should be treated.
Very dissapointed

I do not have an account at your Bank

I has fraudulent charges on my debit card that cause overdraft fees of over $600 within 24hrs. When attempting to dispute over the phone and in person, they removed the fraudulent charges but REFUSED to remove more than $100 in overdraft fees. The manager at this location rolled her eyes and acted like I was so rude I was shaking afterwards. I have never felt so helpless. I dont understand how any business this big could allow such unprofessional people to manage their staff. I hope she gets fired, maybe soemone else will be able to help me.. TD said I had to go to that particular branch to resolve. Now I dont know what to do. 1630 Shore Parkway North, Brooklyn, NYý -

I do not trust TD with my money. Not one person could clearly explain the policies to me. No one told me that checks are held for up to 10 days when you first open an account. I called to speak with someone about a check being held. They called up the bank the check was from and told me the check was clear. I looked online and the check was clear, but two days later they took it back and charged me overdraft fees. No one could explain why. In fact I had more than one TD employee tell me "I just don't understand your account at all". If you can't understand it, I can't understand it. I left!

The customer service is the worst. They don’t listen to you, they constantly talk over you, and in the slim change they do fix your problem, your right back on the phone with them the next week with the same issue (or if you’re lucky a different issue). The way they claim to do business is completely false to the way the really conduct it. Half the time they state that they notified you on their ever changing policies and you never really got the info. And the other half of the time they hound you with calls from random 800 numbers and never leave a message or provided you with any new information when you do answer. Or if you call back, no one knows who or why they called you at all. Over and over again this bank has showed me their lack of commitment to not only the things they claim they are but most importantly the satisfaction of their customers. They should try to focus on the real issues instead of the glitz and glamour of advertizing and the short comings of answering a phone on the 3rd ring. This company is a number one example of a big business that doesn’t really care about you, just the money you give them! My recommendation is if you see the name TD BANK, run the other way.
